Gli “street children” del Kenya

Il fenomeno degli Street Children è molto diffuso nelle grandi metropoli dei Paesi in via di sviluppo, soprattutto in Africa. In Kenya la situazione è particolarmente grave: sono 300.000 i bambini che vivono in strada, 150.000 nella sola capitale Nairobi.

Bambini e povertà estrema, una triste realtà

In tutto il mondo 333 milioni bambini, vale a dire 1 su 6, vivono in condizioni di povertà estrema. Il 40% di questi bambini vive in Africa subsahariana, ma alti tassi di povertà estrema sono rilevabili anche in Medio Oriente e Nord Africa.
